June 5 – Yokohama – Johan de Nysschen, a 19-year veteran of Volkswagen AG’s Audi division, is the new chief of Infiniti.

The executive will be based at Infiniti’s new global headquarters in Hong Kong and will report to Nissan EVP Andy Palmer.
“We have exciting and ambitious plans for improving the Infiniti brand, including introducing new models in all markets where premium customer demand exists,” said Palmer. “Johan is a highly successful global luxury automotive executive and his leadership of Infiniti will be a key factor in realizing the potential.”
De Nysschen was with Audi for 19 years, including executive positions in South Africa, Japan and most recently as president of the brand’s American operations.
Prior to joining Audi, de Nysschen worked for BMW in South Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and an MBA from the University of Pretoria.
