“The objective of holding this event is to spread the word of this great product, the NP300 Navara. Spreading it to the countries that are going to use it, are going to be purchasing this product,” said Victor Nacif, general manager of Global Product Communications at Nissan.

“We want to give the press that experience. The activities that we have are quite typical of Nissan — Innovation and Exciting!”

Media could test the pickup on highways, tight and steep country roads, and even off-road tracks in the dense jungle covering a total of 20,000 kilometers amongst 30 pickups in a wide mix of road conditions.

They were also able to test both the king cab and double-cab body styles, and the two- and four-wheel drive powertrain options.

“It is my first time in Thailand and it is a nice experience driving this car here. Especially, getting used to driving with the steering wheel on the right and everything is upside-down, it’s a challenge,” said Ezequiel Daray, presenter of the Car and Travel Show on Fox Sports.

“We had the chance to test it on the open roads and in the track. I have to admit I am very impressed with this new product.”

The new NP300 will be manufactured at a dedicated new plant near Bangkok, with sales starting mid-August in Thailand, and a subsequent roll out to other markets in the coming months.
