Steel to Wheels: Bangkok’s Navara

Bangkok – March 16 – Since 2014, the Nissan Navara has been produced by the manufacturing team of Nissan Motor Thailand.

“Steel to Wheels: Bangkok’s Navara” is a behind-the-scenes manufacturing peek at how the Nissan Navara is made at the Bangkok, Thailand plant.

The Navara pickup is a leading model in Nissan’s Asia and Oceania (A&O) regional production hub and a key model for the region.

Nissan’s Navara has become a favorite among customers in the region with an 82% increase in sales since the third generation’s launch, and achieving top-seller rank for the segment in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.

Navara features “go anywhere” capabilities and is a “smart and tough” vehicle with functions not available in other pickups.

Its full-boxed ladder frame design can withstand rigorous work and daily use, while high-tensile strength steel in strategic areas enables handling on roads with a lateral tilt of 32 degrees.

With more than 40,000 tests and 1,000,000 kilometers of real-world road experience, Navara has a proven record of durability.

It is through Navara that Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility technology was introduced to A&O markets, demonstrating Nissan’s commitment to a Zero Fatality, Zero Emission future.

The Navara story is part of a global manufacturing series highlighting the quality behind Nissan’s key products and plants, and the people who make them. Here are links to some earlier Steel to Wheels’ features:
