Nissan Argentina paints Daruma’s eye: Administrative offices open in Cordoba with traditional Japanese ceremony

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Nissan Argentina opened its new administrative offices in Cordoba Province. The event was attended by Provincial Governor Juan Schiaretti and CEO of Nissan Argentina Diego Vignati. The new offices will be occupied by the team that is already working in Cordoba on laying the foundations for the local manufacture of pickups from 2018. The project is now fully underway thanks to the US$600 million invested by the company. The new office will create 1000 new jobs and turn Nissan into an automotive terminal for the first time ever in Argentina.

During their visit, the provincial authorities and Nissan executives toured the new offices where production of the new Nissan line will be managed. Local suppliers, with whom Nissan has been developing this major industrial project, also attended the event. Attendees at the event saw the progress that’s been made before production begins in 2018.
