Sunderland celebrates with Royal visitors

SUNDERLAND, UK – Their Royal Highnesses were driven over the bridge in a locally made 100% electric new Nissan LEAF.
The Duke and Duchess were visiting Sunderland to showcase the city’s engineering talent and vibrant arts scene.
This included visiting the Northern Spire, a new bridge over the River Wear which will bring major economic and regeneration benefits to Sunderland.
The new LEAF is manufactured at Nissan Sunderland Plant, within sight of the new bridge. The factory opened in 1986 and also makes the Qashqai, Juke, Q30 and QX30.
