Nurburgring 24-Hour Race Highlights
May 24 – Nurburging – The 24-hour endurance race at Nurburging hosted two Nissan GT-R teams last weekend, the No.23 Nissan GT-R Club Track Edition driven by Michael Krumm, Toshio Suzuki, Kazuki Hoshino and Tetsuya Tanaka, which finished 99th overall and second in class, and the No. 123 Nissan GT-R Club Track Edition, driven by GT Academy winner Lucas Ordonez, Kazunori Yamauchi, Yasukichi Yamamoto and Tobias Schulze, who finished 30th overall and first in the SP8T class.
The 25-km Nordschleife has been called “Green Hell”, but was seen by Nissan Team Director Kazutoshi Mizuno as a key test for the GT-R and the excitement that customers expect from Nissan. The following are some highlights and comments from race.
